Packing, Paying, and Evicting... what a week

Half the clothes are packed. The rest will be finished tonight. We have started living out of a suitcase. Fast food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner because we have no food in the house and no dishes to cook with anyway.

There are fleas everywhere because, well, this duplex sucks. We have always had an intermittent flea problem hear. And is seems that they know we are leaving, and they are mad. B and I had to leave the house around 9:30 last night after he sprayed the place down good. No fleas this morning. *yay*

Went to Lowes and got a doggy door. We made the mutual decision that Pippin will be locked in the laundry room in the new house, with access to a doggy door that leads out into the fenced-in back yard. That sounds like a not-so-bad way for a pup to spend his day, right?

The floors are about half-way finished. Living room, dining room, and part of the hallway is complete. All that's left are the two bedrooms and the rest of the hallway.

Then we move.

Then they continue working on the tile in the kitchen and bath.

Exciting stuff, lem'me tell ya.

Met our new neighbors. They seem really nice. I hope they decide to stick around for awhile.

Finally gave our current tenant her notice. She's two months behind and doesn't look like she's going to pay any time soon.

I PRAY TO GOD that she actually leaves when we ask her to. We don't even care about her money that much. But what we DO care about is that we can get a DECENT tenant in there BY JULY 1!!! Please, please, please, be praying for that. Ladies, I know you read this, PLEASE pray for her to get out and a good tenant to get in. Otherwise, we will be out that much more money as well as having to take her to court in order to have her removed. *garsh* Why can't people just PAY THEIR BILLS??!?!

Anyways... car is still in the shop. Not sure how much it's going to cost. B says we're okay as long as it doesn't cost more than $300(Yet another prayer request).

Basically, we know the Lord wanted us to get this duplex. We have NO DOUBT. But isn't it always the way that as soon as the Lord blesses you with something, Satan tries to make that blessing a source of stress. And what better way to do that than to attack the finances, eh?

Well, I'm on to his games. And we're just going to pray through this. The Lord will provide.

He always does.

Okay... off to work.

ciao!
